So you want to learn the bagpipes or the Scottish drums?? You are in the right place!!
Right now, we are unable to give private instruction.
Classes for beginning pipers or drummers are available depending on group size. To find out when the next class
will begin and/or what you need to get started please email the Pipe Major at pipemajor@ozarkhighlanders.org.
The Pipe Major will want to speak with you about whether you want to learn for your own personal benefit or if you are interested
in joining the band (which has a regular practice and performance schedule) and about your musical ability and experience.
Pipers who complete
piping instruction and successfully "try out" by performing the required tunes on their pipes in front of the Pipe
Major are admitted into full band membership and will be issued a band kilt. Students are invited
to attend the annual band meeting along with being welcome at all band social events and encouraged to
attend performances as spectators.
